I am currently employed at the 11th grade English teacher at The Academy at Virginia Randolph. I frequently tutor many of my students during and after school. I run small group tutoring sessions, as well as work with students individually to remediate them on specific areas that they need assistance with. In order to better prepare our students for the reading and writing SOL tests, we have held workshops at Virginia Randolph (tutoring programs that are separate from regular classes). I was directly involved in planning and delivering instruction for the various stations within these workshops. I know that English can be a challenging subject, but I truly enjoy working with students to help improve their reading and writing skills.
